Instituto Crandon promotes in its pupils a holistic development, in accordance with the policies of the Methodist Church in Uruguay.

Students begin the EFL programme at the age of two. By the time they graduate, they will have experienced the language as a positive medium in their development.

Exchange Programme
Our exchange programme offers opportunities to visit new lands, thus developing a unique global perspective. It also provides authentic contexts for the practice of the English language.
International Exams
International exams are an external and objective way of testing language ability. They represent a means of worldwide recognition.
Students have the option to sit for different international exams from the Cambridge University, the Trinity College of London and the University of Michigan, from level A2 (Basic User) to C2 (Mastery), the highest Level in the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
El inglés en Crandon
La enseñanza del inglés es parte medular de la tradición educativa bilingüe del Instituto Crandon.
El programa bilingüe comienza en el Nivel 2 años de Educación Inicial. En el marco de una propuesta lúdica, se apunta al desarrollo integral del niño pequeño y se promueven aprendizajes, en español y en inglés, de manera natural y vivencial.
En Educación Primaria la carga horaria asignada al aprendizaje del inglés es significativa. La lengua se aprende a través de contenidos que responden a los programas de inglés y de español.
Al culminar el ciclo escolar el alumno rinde un examen internacional avalado por la Universidad de Cambridge correspondiente al nivel A2 o B1 del Marco Común de Referencia para el Aprendizaje, la Enseñanza y la Evaluación de Lenguas Extranjeras de la Comunidad Europea (CEFR).
En Secundaria los estudiantes enfrentan diferentes desafíos y se capacitan para exámenes internacionales de las universidades de Cambridge, Michigan y Trinity College of London en los niveles B2, C1 y C2 (CEFR).
